our little holiday

we went away this weekend for a little holiday. We had a lovely time and the cottage we stayed in was set on a working farm with cows and calves which Emily really loved. some were even born in the night.

on the Saturday we went on the blubell railway which was great. i love the smell of the steam engines! then my camera died so there are no more photos. on a very wet sunday morning we went to Bodiam castle - a princess castle - as emily says. it was amazing to look at, a real princess castel with  towers at all corners, a portcutlass and a bridge over the moat!! i was really smiling to myself as we walked in. the inside was a ruin which should have been obvious to me but was not so i was a little disappaintedespecially in the rain. anyway a lovely time was had.
