catch up

It has been a while since i have been on here. Really i have no one specific excuse to i wont pad this out! HA! I have been busy - there that should do it! The last month or so has flown by and we are now well and truely settling in for the Autumn. Today i wanted to catch up as the title suggests as i can feel the blog posts coming over the next few weeks and i didnt want to be held back by me being behind. Part of my problem is not feeling like this space is good enough. I read some truely inspirational blogs where i find peace in my frazzled mind and actually MY blog does not provide me with that peace. It is a place of "could do better" or "almost achieving the life i would like" What i really should do is treasure it for what it is, a place for now. For what we are achieving now and that should be enough!
Here we are at a nearby beach on one of the last days of summer. beautiful

Here they are at our dear friends little girl's 4th birthday. Fancy dress of course. Emily was tinkerbell and Lucy wanted to be a pirate!! The magic man was amazing. so good with the children and simple in his approach
We really love rainbows in our house.

Last Sunday we had a home day and the girls wanted to do some sewing like mummy. I found them both a loom and helped Lucy with her design. An owl of course! Emily drew hers herself - a butterfly (orange and black) And there they sat for over an hour sewing next to their mama!!! Lucy was incredibly good at it as was emily and it was just so heart warming to see! yay my babies!!

These photos were taken today as we went out for a short trip this morning. First we stopped to collect conkers. Daddy has instructions to drill holes in some tomorrow to make a game of conkers and perhaps some conker necklaces. We then went on search of some pretty leaves in a local woods. We plan to dip these in bees wax as it preserves the colour aparently.

So i think that is us up to date now and i shall endevour to keep up from now on.

p.s my pinterest has grown quite considerably in recent months ;)
