May Day

Hope you have all had a lovely May day! We have "celebrated" it a bit more this year as last year there was a beautiful post on frontierdreams  about a May day tradition whereby children would hang a posy of spring flowers on the door of a friend or neighbour.

Today we decided to follow this tradition and Emily hung three pretty little posies of flowers on our close friends and neighbours doors before going to school. Emily also gave one to her teacher!

all were very welcomly recieved and we all had fun doing it!

Funny thing is that in the afternoon today, i recieved a beautiful posy of flowers myself! One of my dear friends Julia was in a very serious car crash five weeks ago and was in Kings hospital in London for three long weeks. She is recouperating at home now and still has a long way to go. While she was in hospital I felt desparate as i could not go and see her, she was too far away and it was too difficult to get to her. I did however phone her everyday to see how she was, we would just chat about normal things as well as obviously how she was feeling and what she had done in the day. She simply sent me these flowers to say thank you! Obviously i love them but what i did really was nothing.

It's the little nothings that are the biggest somethings though! X
