Circle of Life

Well I have been away from this space for a while now haven't I?! Lots has still been going on it is just that I have not felt in the right frame of mind to post about it. Some times life is like that isnt it ?

I am feeling slightly more settled now and i know that is due to the promise of the summer holidays!! Yay, long weeks of crafting, evenings of crocheting and making, walks into town with the girls, Callum coming to stay. I am looking forward to a bit of the good life!

Before I go on with my catch up blog I have to say a few words about my dear friend Nicola. I know she reads this blog from time to time and this is part of my reasoning for not blogging. Recently she lost her Dad. He died very suddenly for reasons that are unclear and this news hit us all very hard. Poor Nicola had only just had her second baby, Millie and life was 'tricky' juggling baby and toddler etc, but this.... Her dad was an amazing man, one that we all grew up with. He was our plumber as well as Nicola's dad and would always great us with a smile and a "alright Caz!" His funeral was on Tuesday last week and Sophie and I looked after her two daughters whilst our other friends went to the funeral. There was a massive turn out as he was a very social person who knew so many people. We went to the wake afterwards with Nicola. Its like Nicola says - "just sureal, like a bad dream you want to wake up from"
My heart goes out to you Nic and all of your family and you are right in the front of my thoughts each day.

Well I am just looking at my photos and there are a lot of things to share. Here goes....
We went to Peppa pig world again for lucy's birthday treat. They both loved it and the weather was amazing!!
Lucy has been an avid harvester in our garden. Here she is in her pj's as she remembered that one would 'be growed today Mummy' Who could stop that enthusiasm?! We are currently harvesting strawberries and raspberries!

There was the Jubilee weekend where we met at Sophies house for a tea party. Princesses was the dress code!
Oh and i found a garden centre that had these amazing sinks in it! Each one was different! Amazing!
I have bottled two batches of Elderflower champagne and several more of Elderflower Cordial! The first batch if Champagne was not 'fizzing' so i added yeast. Hmm yer i think I may have added too much yeast as they keep blowing their tops off!! Should be alcoholic though i hope!!! Ha!!!
The beautiful Rosa Mae finally made her entrance into the world on 12th June. One day before her brothers. Well done Claire for producing  such an amazing little GIRL!! She now has two doting brothers and two other little fans!!

My girls love babies as much as i do!!
The Mummy and Daddy bear sleeping bags were made as a present for Bella, Sophie's little girl on her second birhtday!

And there we are. A whistle stop tour of the last month or so!

All sent to remind us of how fragile and special life really is.
xx
