Speedaholic

Pinned Image

Slowing down is in need here and trying not to be a speedaholic! Rushing from one thing that "needs doing" to another. Slowing down and enjoying my life. I find myself thinking that i cant wait for the holidays when we dont have to rush to get out the door in the morning and there are lazy days when we can walk down the town. Oh i really miss walking down the town. We drive now as it is quicker and i dont have the time to dedicate a day to it. I miss the time i had before Emily went to school, we seemed to have more time for walking, crafting etc. How can i get these things back?

Three

Lucy turned three yesterday! Wow where did that time go? My little baby has grown up so quickly, "i am not a baby mummy" is often the chorus i get when I say this around her! In the last month alone she has decided she does not need to have a bed guard so she can get into bed "like Em" and she has also stopped using nappies at night!!! Yay Lucy!! All signs that she is getting older.

Yesterday was a lovely mixture of time spent with friends and family and time on our own as a family.
Here are a few pictures.

The hall that we used this time was little but as a lot of people said, it is cute and homely.

The hall also had an outside space so we borrowed some things from the PE cupboard at school.

The theme of the party was Peppa Pig! So we brought all of our Peppa Pig toys and books to play with. We also had a  making table with Peppa pictures.

A Peppa pig treasure trail.

Grandad Simon and Nanny Nise bought her a Balance bike!!!!

This is also a new addition. It is a reading/ den tent. I found the idea on Pinterest and thought "i could do that" as i do far too often. I am hoping to be able to use it in the garden mainly as a shady den for them.
So there we are, another year over, Another glorious year spent with my gorgeous baby. One that i thank God for everyday.

Millie Rose

We went to swoon over Baby Millie Rose on Wednesday this week. She is beautiful, Mummy is radient as ever and Chloe loves her new baby sister, gently kissing her on the head! I remember when Emily used to do that to Lucy.
All is well and hurray, she is a girl. All girls now out of our friends, 10 girls out of the 5 of us! (well the ones who stayed in our town, Jody!)

May Day

Hope you have all had a lovely May day! We have "celebrated" it a bit more this year as last year there was a beautiful post on frontierdreams  about a May day tradition whereby children would hang a posy of spring flowers on the door of a friend or neighbour.

Today we decided to follow this tradition and Emily hung three pretty little posies of flowers on our close friends and neighbours doors before going to school. Emily also gave one to her teacher!

all were very welcomly recieved and we all had fun doing it!

Funny thing is that in the afternoon today, i recieved a beautiful posy of flowers myself! One of my dear friends Julia was in a very serious car crash five weeks ago and was in Kings hospital in London for three long weeks. She is recouperating at home now and still has a long way to go. While she was in hospital I felt desparate as i could not go and see her, she was too far away and it was too difficult to get to her. I did however phone her everyday to see how she was, we would just chat about normal things as well as obviously how she was feeling and what she had done in the day. She simply sent me these flowers to say thank you! Obviously i love them but what i did really was nothing.
