In our house we have been waiting for spring to come for a while now. "when is it Easter mummy?" I get alot. I have been waiting for Spring too. the cold is biting at my face these days and the sun cleanses it with the promise of more to come. There has been more chances of late to sit back in the sunshine, close my eyes and drink it in. I need this sun. I dont think i could really say that i suffer with SAD but i do find February a difficult month to get through. Spring is such a welcome ray of sunshine, when there are new possibilities and another chance of change.
How have you been celebrating the coming of Spring?
This weekend I enjoyed a lovely mothering sunday. We went to church in the morning, a beautiful walk down memory lane in the sun, walking down the road to past the school i used to go to as a child and the church i had harvest festival in! This is the first time we have been to church in a while. The last time we went the girls were smaller and it was difficult to take 2 on my own. This time they could not have been better behaved and they thoroughly enjoyed them selves. I was able to listen to the service happy in the sound of them chattering over the toys in the corner. Bliss. At one point the vicar gave out posies for all the mums and my two little angels walked hand in hand up the aisle to collect flowers for their mummy! swooning in pride and love i was!
Emily was funny with mothers day, she kept it all so secret and loved the opportunity to go shopping with her Dad to get exactly what she wanted to get me (flowers). So sweet.
In the afternoon we went outside with her bike, minus the stabilisers and she learnt how to ride a bike!! She just bowls me over at every turn with her determination and shear ability to succeed! She would not let me physically help her although she was carefully listening to my instructions and every so often i would hear her say to her self "i know i can do this"
And yes i darling "i know you can do this too"!

keep calm and craft on.
Nicole on Frontier Dreams has been running a Keep calm and craft on post every week and the pictures i wanted to post seemed to fit really well. Mine does not have quite as much gusto and beauty as hers but here goes.
We have started our preparations for Easter and where better to start than with some wet felting eggs.
Both Girls love the softness of felt, as do i, they keep putting them to their cheeks to fully appreciate it
This prompted Emily to have a go at wet felting mini egg, all by herself.
Lucy helped me make some Bread...
Sun bread. It was delicious!!!
Especially with homemade damson jam.
Have you been busy making anything?

Last Saturday
Yes it has taken me a whole week to blog again. Actually a week is a short amount for me really. Its not like i dont visit this space everyday because i do. I absolutely love going through my blog list on the right and looking at other peoples blogs. seeing all of the amazing and inspiring things people have been up to. And then there is my blog! I wish i had the inclanation to blog more frequently but my work often takes over the space i have for these things. Not my time with the children obviously but definatly my evening. Note the undercurrent of resent!
Any way last Saturday was a day where i DID have my blog in mind, where i was enjoying being at home and seeing the beauty in all that my babes were doing so i snapped away. unfortunatly come the evening when i can think long enough to put a post together, i had to do school work!
So here we are
After breakfast i got lost in Pinrest - see link on right, and the children took over my hair!
And a PJ picnic on the floor!
Once we were dressed we ventured outside in the sunshine. Oh what a welcome relief for me, I needed that bit of sun on my face. It was just enough to get me through the last few weeks of winter
I even go the washing dry!
