Peace grateful

Today I try to find my way back.  Back to who I was,  to where I had joy.  I see glimmers of it in places but life is just overwhelming.  I can't stop it.  It keeps on coming, the good and the bad.
What a year it has been.  There were times I didn't think we would make it but we did.  And I am grateful.

This is one of the places I had joy.  Where is felt peace and it made me happy.  So here it goes.

back on the wagon

recently I have been feeling a bit lost. like I am missing something.  something is not there that was once there before.  I need this space. I need to usebit more to record my thoughts and our adventures.  in the past it has helped me to come achieve things with thw girls that I love. but also to celebrate what we do do and not dwel on what we dont do!

so this week is half term.  this one afternoon sticks in my mind as being particularly well rounded. joined and attached. thats what I miss. just being!!!
my fantastic friend ellie has just opened up a beautiful cafe in town and we spent the after crocheting and colouring!

A day with my babes.

Today has been a lovely day. Not weather wise you understand as we are in the middle of the wettest winter I remember. We laid the table for breakfast this morning and enjoyed each others company as we ate. L and I did some work in her learning journal at the table. Basically on the back of the realisation that I had never read her the story of little red riding hood!  Yep I felt bad! So on to twinkl I went and printed some bits to keep her happy this morning. After lunch we took a blustery walk to town to post my pen pals present. Stopping of course at our favourite cafe. My girls are so good, they are happy to sit , talking and taking it all in. Very proud of them I was. Then on to the sweet shop and home. We actually we visited my friend and her children on the way. I miss the chats we had when we were able to see each other more often. She is so on my wave length, one step ahead of me in terms of eco living , I could talk for hours with her.
When we got home we watched a dramatisation of little red riding hood by E and then to bed. I needed a project so I have started to make a summer shawl for me or my friend. I am feeling the creativity coming back and really wanted to embrace it.
